Re: How to say "to my heart's content"

it would be something like 'niin paljon kuin sielu sietää' ... as much as your soul endures

The pool is open all day so you can swim to your heart's content.

Uimahalli on auki koko päivän, niin voit uida niin paljon kuin sielu sietää.

Re: What's the area in IT is the best to study for employmen

Also, I was like 28 when I went to HH, I was a "day student" but they had a "evening students" that were even in their 50's, upgrading the old college degrees to polytechnic/uni bachelors - so theres no reason to be "shy"... Besides which some of the teachers doing C or SQL courses were in the teams...

Re: Working Holiday Permit and registering address in Finlan

"To be able to rent an apartment" you'd need to be filthy rich  seriously, as you have no credit record you'd need to pay a "deposit" here and a "deposit" there, maybe your rent up front - and then... IIRC you can't work in one place for more than three months was it, and as you know there's no...

Re: Citizenship Applications 2016

So, actually, the citizenship application takes a week to process. Before that it sits in a queue for 3-4 months before getting "noticed" and another 3-4 months before someone actually starts working on it.

Re: Working Holiday Permit and registering address in Finlan

There is a tickbox in the computer saying 'temporary' and 'permanent' meaning the status of domicile in that county. With the tickbox the computer says no in certain events, and that might be slightly annoying. It has really more to do with "who pays stuff" as if you are permanently living in county...

Well, for a self-help course Big Data is the buzzword "right now", MapR offers a good bunch of free online modules on hadoop, pig and hive coding, you can either download or then use their cloud based lab environment, and the certifications don't cost a fortune either.

Re: What's the area in IT is the best to study for employmen

I'd suggest looking at what Haaga-Helia offers. They have "Business Information Technology" and used at least to have for example have a SAP lab and offer courses in ABAP coding even. The BI path would work, as grunt coding can be easily outsourced, but design and client interfacing not so much.

Re: Obstacles

Well, in the end it is like parents and kids in the store. Kid wants candy, parent wants fruit. Kid throws a tantrum, gets no candy and no fruit. Parent has a bigger want. Better want fruit, you might get bananas and apples.

Re: Eu citizen unemployed and starting finnish courses?

Yes, the TE-palvelut will consider you a "student" so you won't get any unemployment benefits. KELA however won't consider you a "student" for some "Finnish courses" as they don't count towards a degree. So no money from anywhere!

Re: Eu citizen unemployed and starting finnish courses?

Those "Finnish studies" do not make a "student", that is for "degree studies". And if you come to Finland for the purpose of studying, you won't be eligible for student handouts (logical there). Likewise, "looking for work" does not make you "unemployed", that requires you to first have worked at le...

The bank has the lawyers and the paperwork ready. You just say you want to do this kind of a thing, and they tell you what options and what papers they want.

Re: How many months I need to work to get unemployed benefit

I thought the government pays my rent and gives me around 700 Euro if I am unemployed? Don't "think", that is allowed without a brain only in America. You need to "know"... things like unemployment is "private" insurance, so you need to pay in to a fund to get anything more than the KELA base. To g...
