Re: Millainen vs. Millaista - what's the difference? :(

This stuff is a whole lot easier to understand if you speak proper i.e. "Churchill English". Correct: From which country did you just come? Incorrect: What country did you just come from? Correct: Which kind of music do you like? Incorrect: What kind of music do you like? etc... You can go...

Re: Citizenship Application 2016/2017

You may ask these people here. http://finnishimmigrationlaw.com/ They might even give you some hint if the case is strong or not. You may ask them, but they are not from Finland. IIRC they are actually Turkish people. Also beware that anything you ask them, they will try to convince you that the ca...

Re: Citizenship Application autumn/winter- 2016/2017

The residence permit card has to be returned to the Immigration Office in Sornainen. That's where the residence permits are managed now. No, it doesn't. You can turn it in to any police station that has a "permit services" section (lupapalvelut) while you are there handling other business...

Re: Physically assaulted on street

Podzap, since you seem to have very many opinions (but less knowledge) about anything and since you are so willing to share them, how about opening your own "Podzap advises, ask whatever you want" - thread. Stop trolling other peoples' threads, OP has quite a serious issue, let her keep i...

Niin. Siis, haluat olla suomen kansalainen vaikket pysty selvittämään asioita suomen kielellä? Sulle vielä pari vuotta odotusaikaa, kunnes pystyt käyttämään kansan kieltä.

Re: Physically assaulted on street

[ What you seem to be looking to describe is that Finnish courts do not award punitive damages to the injured party. It's possible to sue McDonald's for too hot coffee. However, you will only be able to recover things like medical expenses. Höpö-höpö. Don't know if they have treatment for aspergers...

Re: Physically assaulted on street

One of the core differences in civil law between England-derived countries (USA, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia) and Finland is that in Finnish law, "tort" does not exist. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tort Tort is the entire justification for the civil lawsuit system in the England-de...

Re: Citizenship application

Migri makes their own decision immediately after you provide the request for additional information. At that point, they send your application around to all other authorities for comments. This includes vero, poliisi, kela, foreign ministry, and a few others. The comment period is 30 or 45 days, I d...
