Re: which electronic shop sells small (5mm) LEDs

I went to Bebek yesterday but 5 mm LEDs seem kind of expensive (50 cents per LED). Maybe I should try online ones.

Thanks guys for the links and information.

Re: Helsinki public transport question

Let's say you have a one-month time-ticket for Espoo, and you go from Espoo to Helsinki. Do you have to pay for a two-zone trip even though you have Espoo covered? Or do you only buy the ticket for Helsinki? And if, when do you book it from your travel card, at the beginning of the trip, or when yo...

For students, Unisport is the cheapest. https://unisport.fi/ However, I must mention that if you are a foreigner (Arab looking or South Asian looking) and visit the GYM alone, you will most probably get a lot of uncomfortable stares. I have been getting many uncomfortable stares when I visit the Uni...

No offence, are you an Asian girl (Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai or Vietnamese etc)?
If yes, then it is not very unusual for a Finnish guy to go and talk to Asian girls.

Re: Citizenship Applications 2016

It is usually required 5 years ["for the last five years without interruption (continuous period of residence)"] of continuous permit (combination of equivalent A and A permit) for other people without strong ties with Finland. http://www.migri.fi/finnish_citizenship/applying_for_citizenship/require...

Re: Citizenship Applications 2016

1. You could have even applied already when you had 4 years of equivalent A (continuous permit) i.e for the past four years without interruption, if you had already passed the language test as you have strong ties with Finland (married or living together with a Finn). http://www.migri.fi/finnish_cit...

Re: Muslim student life in Lappeenranta

Interesting I think, racism in Finland is much more than it is claimed in the following link which says that "14% admitted to being racists themselves" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racism_in_Finland The possible reason that there is more racism than what is mentioned in the link is that many Finns...

Re: Citizenship and YKI-Test questions

I wonder why you did not apply for citizenship after 4 years of A permit. Anyways, you can apply for citizenship in June but you will have to apply for a new residence permit after your residence permit expires. "My citizenship application is pending and my passport/residence permit is expiring soon...

Yes, she can apply. If you read the citizenship application form, then you will see that there are options such as KELA support (If someone has P type permit) or other source of income such as family member etc. However, if her residence permit expires after she applies she must apply for a new resi...
