Moving back to Finland after living 5years abroad

Dear All, I have some few questions regarding moving back to Finland after living abroad for five years. Do I have to inform kela? How long does it take for my kids to be entitle to free child care .? Do I have to apply to be readmitted into the system? All suggestions and ideas are welcome Thanks

About yki testi for Finnish citizenship application

Hi all,does anyone know what sections of the language test (yki-testi) are obligatory to pass? My friend has passed three sections on three different sittings but didn't pass the puhuminen.Could he combine these three and submit as part of his application?

Has anyone gone through this process of oma suunitelma from te-office after being unemployed for a while? The te-office has invited me to come for a meeting but I don't have a clue what the meeting will be about.Any ideas?

You need KELA even if you have a job. Otherwise you will have to pay thousands of euros for medicines, surgeries etc. just like those Americans who doesn't have a private insurance. I am a native Finn, and I have been dropped twice from the system. For them, if it looks you are not living PERMANENTLY in Finland, then you are out. If your friend goes all the time outside of Finland and spends very little time in the country, for sure it is seen that he is not living permanently...

You could also ask if someone could sell you their address ,that's the way it is done in Denmark.You pay for using someone's address.

We already have lots of fraud in the system, including people like you living ouside most of the time but pretending to love in Finland while spending Finnish benefits outside Finland and, in some cases, dodging Finnish taxes one way or another.
