Re: PR Application 2023
I applied for P-EU on 10/05/24, according to chatbot, there are 52 applications before me. Does that mean my application will be processed soon or am in for a long wait? I wonder if you're holding an EU Blue Card whether it speeds it up, I was on the fast track when I first applied a few years ago. ...

Re: Lost job before applying for PR
No one here is a Migri exployee so do not take posts as definite answers, including those above. I can only tell you a very close example as a reference for you: My best friend was in a similar situation a couple of years ago. He was unemployed for 2 years, 1.5 of those waiting for his PR. He appli...

Re: Lost job before applying for PR
I'm still applying for jobs (I work in IT) and according to the conditions of my Blue Card, I have three months of consecutive unemployment before it gets cancelled. Just a bit confusing whether I can just continue my application with the employer I put in when I applied, whether they'll just reject...

Lost job before applying for PR
Need some advice.
I am eligible for PR in a few months, I submitted my application a month ago, about to go visit service centre, but the tricky part - I am now unemployed.
What do I do? Can I continue the application?

Re: American Incomes
You don't need to get foreign employer to use income register. My employer doesn't, I just declare foreign income in my tax card. If an employer doesn’t use the incomes register, a tax card is irrelevant so this doesn’t make sense. Do you mean tax return? Foreign income is usually handled through t...

Nordea also offered me a bank loan after being here for about half a year.

Re: Minor co-applicant in citizenship application
I don't know why I'm not surprised.
Migri seems to be hiring more staff, but then giving them inadequate training.
I had a similar situation where a person at migri contradicted EU law.

Is her PR under Swedish or EU law.
If it's EU then it's relatively easy to move.

Re: Freelancing as a side job
Im going to guess you're on a blue card? If yes, there's no restriction on starting a business as long as it's not your primary job. That comes directly from the migri website. I have secondary job in another EU country, I just pay additional tax on it. I'm planning to use one of these consulting co...

Re: Heating options
as already said, I'd avoid pellets. they are expensive, and you need a continuous supply, if i'm assuming they are used to heat water elements in the house. Place I was considering buying was using pellets and it cost about 400 euros a month to heat.

Damages and the police
What's the deal with causing damage to someone's property in Finland? You call the police, they arrive and record the incident. The person who caused the damage is asked their side of the story, if they want to pay compensation. If they don't it goes to court. It seems open to interpretation, meanin...

Re: PR Application 2023
Anyone have experiences here applying for P-EU with an EU Blue Card? According to this link (section 56a) any legal time spent in other EU countries is counted towards the 5 year requirement for P-EU, as long as you've been in FI at least 2 years. https://www.finlex.fi/fi/laki/alkup/2013/20130668
