Help for career

So.. I have no idea about what I want to study or even the options to study. I am from Tunisia. I have been studying in university (medicine) but because I haven't finished my studies there and don't have the Doctor degree it means nothing. I moved to Finland last January to live with my husband and...

Nursing degree in English, is it a good option

Hey everyone. I am from Tunisia and I moved to Finland last January to live with my husband. We live in Kuopio. I have studied medicine in my home country but I didn't finish it so I dont have the degree. I am learning Finnish for now, I am taking a part in this accelerated online integrational prog...

Re: Residence permit or touristic visa

Hey sorry guys for the very late reply. So I moved to Finland already in the end of last January and I have already started my integration lessons. The process of the residence permit lasted only three weeks. Miracle, right? I wanted to write my reply here to spread the hope and optimism. If you rea...

Residence permit

Hello everyone! =) I'm from Tunisia, married to a Finnish, and I will be having my interview for the residence permit pretty-soon. It would be quite helpful if anyone who had a similar experience could share here how it went for them, what kind of questions to expect, and how long would that intervi...

Re: Residence permit or touristic visa

Here is a weirder fact. We were thinking of travelling together to Spain, and we thought it would be much easier for me to be granted a visa from the Spanish embassy thanks to that law regarding free/easier movement of Eu citizens family members. "EU family memeber rules" don't apply if y...

Re: Residence permit or touristic visa

Hi, You are married to a Finnish citizen? I thought you could apply for visa to enter Finland as a family member of an EU citizen, your husband is a Finnish/EU citizen! I'm a EU citizen and I married in Indonesia my wife just applied for visa to enter Finland and then her residence permit in Finlan...

Re: Residence permit or touristic visa

I called the embassy, they said the "correct way" to do it is to apply for the residence permit from here. Well, that's what we're going to do, just to play it safe. It wouldn't be nice I guess to get a third rejected visa now. :/

Residence permit or touristic visa

Hello everyone. I'm Tunisian, married to a Finnish citizen. So, I'm planning to move to live with my husband. I'd like to know if it would make sense for me to apply for a touristic visa and then for a residence permit from Finland? (and actually TELL the embassy that I'm planning to do so, during m...

Re: Best Way To Apply For Residence Permit?

There are two options but it will depend on how serious your relationship with your girlfriend is. If you love her enough to move to Finland to be with her, why don't you consider getting engaged/married? I'm not saying that one should get married JUST in order to be able to move to a country. Maybe...

Re: We got married

OP is not from Tunisia, a person educated in French/Arabic would not write such kind of English. In addition to what biscayne wrote. I'm sorry I didn't get your point? If I'm not mistaking, you think I'm lying about the fact that I'm from Tunisia? It's quite interesting how people can get strangely...

Re: We got married

I am not judging or doubting you, but as I read your post, a few things strike me as odd, and the embassy who refused you a visa probably found them odd too. First, you say you are 23 years old and have been with your Finnish (husband) for "at least 4 years" - ok, so you were 18 when you ...

Re: We got married

One option, but then again it depends on the husband and job, is you two go to France, if its easier for you. Then use the "EU freedom of movement" as the rules are different. But if he doesn't speak French that kind of kills it. Then again, if you were studying in France and had an EU pe...
