Anyone facing problems with migri contact number 0295 419 600 and 0295 419 624.
They are always busy. It seems there is no staff for responding in summer vacations for those numbers?

Re: Citizenship Application 2016/2017
Now, should I try appealing this decision...or do I just wait another year and try again?
The appeal has the potential of taking so long that you'd be eligible already, and becoming eligible (in addition to satisfying the other conditions) is an almost guaranteed positive decision, while the ...

Re: Citizenship Application Autumn/Winter/Spring- 2016/2017
I remember I also got worried about my time abroad (I had about 6 months total but in 3 different trips of 2 months each) when applying and read this section on migri many many times. My understanding is that if you an absence between 6 months and one year, they subtract that period from your ...

Re: Citizenship Application Autumn/Winter/Spring- 2016/2017
Check your own data in VRK, have you announced Maistratti that you lived abroad those last long trips? 6 months and 1 month?
Less than 1 month need not be announced, I declared it in my application voluntarily. For the less than 6 months I had conveyed to Maistraati.
Anyone know how long the ...

Sad, but they don't care too much of your permit, look at https://verkkopalvelu.vrk.fi/Omat/Etusivu.aspx and if you don't see last 2 years marked in Finland there is nothing you can do.
Also looking at this accumulated residence period:
a) Jul 2005 to Jun 2008 (B Type permit)
b) Jun 2008 to Jun ...

Re: Citizenship Application Autumn/Winter/Spring- 2016/2017
I became eligible on Feb 12, 2017. So that should not be the reason. What I think they send random messages to the applicants in queue to update their information. If the application is not in process then such requests doesn't mean anything.
Well I do not think all of these are random messages ...

Re: Citizenship Application Autumn/Winter/Spring- 2016/2017
Hello guys,
Each case is different and the length of time happens accordingly. Mine case was like this:
Sep 2009 - May 2016 (B visa) = 6 years and 8 months.
May 2016 - May 2017 (A visa) = 1 year.
So it becomes:
B/2 + A = 3 years and 4 months + 1 year.
