I woud like to register a toiminimi and get some assistance with tax, deductions, submissions etc. I was looking at services offered by OP (https://www.op.fi/yritykset/asiakkuus/toiminimi) and...

Almost a year since I first posted this question. Thank you everyone who provided valuable advice. I'm happy to share that I have received my permanent residence permit now and will be registering a Toiminimi soon. Based on the advice in this forum and researching on my own, I realized that working ...

Re: Freelancing as a side job
Okay, its been a while and I have secured a contract with a local contracting house. I'm now wondering if I should register a toiminimi. Will that affect the eventual citizenship application? Would this change the grounds/conditions for my resdience application given that I don't give up my normal j...

Re: Freelancing as a side job
I have no idea at the moment, but will ask around and find out. My biggest concern was it somehow negatively impacting my citizenship prospects.

Re: Freelancing as a side job
Good point. I was thinking of using a service like ukko.fi or perhaps reaching out to one one of the contracting houses in Finand. They'll typically charge a fee, but don't want administrative hassles right now.

Re: Monthly living costs for a couple in vantaa
As someone currently living in Vantaa, here's a breakdown for you: 1. Apartment rental: Anywhere between 700-1100 depending on condition and size. You can get a relatively new apartment (1 bed + living room + kitchen, 50 sqm) for about 800-900. 2. Groceries: For two people, I'd say EUR 400-600/month...
