We've been desperately looking for Kefir grains here in Helsinki. We checked Ruohonjuuri, the Hakaniemi market (where we get out raw goat milk from!), and more, but couldn't find proper grains. The best thing we could find was grossly overpriced Kefir powder for EUR 30, which you need to renew after a few months!! I have no idea why companies do such things. Do they actually think that we'll keep buying their Kefir powder?!
Anyway, I'm glad to have found this thread, even if it's 8 years old. And I would be a lot happier, even thrilled, if there is still someone on the thread still selling or sharing Kefir grains. As mentioned, we are--a couple--in Helsinki. But we'll be moving to Kokkola in 2-3 weeks, so it's rather urgent that we find another Kefir lover around Helsinki during these 3 weeks.
Thank you. And may the probiotic billions always be with you!
But don't hold your breath. I ordered some seeds from the UK (butternut squash) in March and I think they finally arrived in June... No idea why it took so long, the company (Marshalls UK) shipped the day after I made the order. I suspect either Tulli or Posti.
Hi Cynde! I just learn about the use of Kefir and I am looking for some, do you still have or know someone in Tampere or Akaa that are interested to share it? I think is a very nice way to make friends also and share some tips on how to use it
