Marmite is also available from Punnitse ja Säästä, on the shelf next to the Vegemite :D
Don't know the price, but their Vegemite is cheaper than Behnfords.

Yes you can buy garam masala. At least from the bigger stores. There's also a lot of ethnic stores in helsinki, where spices are much cheaper than in the regular stores.

sinikala wrote: PG Tips is available in Stockmann & Asian shops, but they sell them at crazy prices €22-24 for a box of 240. Early Grey is widely drunk here boxes of 25 are around €2.5. Boxes of 50 slightly cheaper €4.5? Bring as much tea as you can drink, the local prices are 5-10x higher than in the UK.

The local equivalent of Dairy Milk is Fazer Blue, it's edible - a bit crisper & less creamy than Dairy Milk, but actually not that tempting to buy. So I don't.
Both these products are available in http://www.littlebritannia.fi and offer a delivery service.
sinikala wrote:There are no Cadbury's chocolate products on sale outside Behnfords & the ethnic shops, so we occasionally bring things like Crunchies, Frys Turkish Delight, Fry's chocolate cream, Flakes.
Also in Little Britannia, not just Behnfords.
sinikala wrote: Marmite is only AFAIK available in Behnfords, in the smallest jar size, at €5. Which is only a little cheaper than half a kilo in the UK. (4x the price)
See above :)

And again...

As well as, Tetley and Yorkshire Tea, Walkers Crisps and Branston Pickle.

Punnitse ja säästä also has a lot of English stuff. I think the owner is English. It´s a shop where you weigh your own stuff (like nuts and snacks) but on the shelves, they have a lot of English stuff. Marmite and vegemite, and I even saw Tesco´s Christmas puddings.

The Indian stores around Hakaniemi in Helsinki have lots of British tea--- but really proper black tea is a problem, it`s either PG Tips or some really expensive tea from specialist tea shop. The cheapest teas are often better--- but the only black tea commonly on offer is Lipton Yellow Lable (yuck!). I drink Lipton lemon; it´s drinkable. And can´t get Twinings Chai.

Walkers crisps you can get from Punnitse and säästä. I think Finnish chocolate is so much better than Cadburys, would not bring that.

The main thing is the price difference: some simple things are much, much more expensive (like vitamins, razors, specialist cosmetics). Many UK-companies deliver for free to Finland, so you can just order stuff from the internet too. Groceries I haven´t really been able to order, but almost anything else.
