Bologna vs lördagskorv/lauantaimakkara

Post by CaliforniaGuy » Sun Sep 04, 2011 9:51 am

Hi everyone,

Can anyone tell me what lördagskorv/lauauntaimakkara tastes like, and if it's similar to or different than American bologna (sausage)?

This forum is one of the few where people will have tried both.

Thanks,
California Guy

Agree... or at least the bologna my host father wanted on his sandwich to take to work was more or less the same. Not 1:1, but as close as it gets, really. The main difference was that it was a bit more um... wet than the Finnish version, and had an off taste I didn't quite like, but then again my host mother said it was the cheapest sausage in the comissary, so... :) But otherwise the basic taste and feel was the same as for lauantaimakkara.
