Buying directly from producer

Post by tflmonte » Sat Jan 12, 2013 8:37 am

Hi,

Does anyone know if it's possible to buy products directly from farmers in Finland? I'm moving to an apartment building where we have a cold storage so I could buy a big stock of for instances potatoes and onions and keep it there without loosing space in my fridge. If I could go directly to farmers for that it would be a great saving.

Political correctness is the belief that it's possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

No but if I buy in bulk I'll keep them in the cold storage room which as temperature around 7C so they last longer -> http://www.stilltasty.com/questions/index/74

check the local papers around autumn, usually there are farmers selling potatoes, apples and rootvegs.
it does depend a lot on where you live though.(here in savonlinna it's dead easy compared to helsinki region)
