Finnish everyday nostalgia from 1970s to 1990s

Post by Jukka Aho » Sat Oct 12, 2013 4:42 pm

I stumbled upon this discussion thread which is quite a blast from the past:
As of this writing, it packs 12 pages of pictures from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. They all have something to do with the products, phenomenona, and fads that were popular in Finland at some point in time and which people should generally recognize if they lived here in those days.

What, those things aren't around any more?

I didn't realize the quality of life had declined so severely.

What are my KOP and OP reflectors worth nowadays?
As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.

Wow! Just Wow!

So much great stuff, so many happy memories, with great designs, has just been replaced by computers. Sometimes I wonder if we have gone backwards. Certainly one can no longer get drunk on one green Sibelius :( But at least I still have the Osuuspankki reflector in a box somewhere :)
Political correctness is the belief that it's possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
