Best kebab in Helsinki
Could anyone recommend a kebab place which uses real meat instead of the reformed stuff? Or am I dreaming? Thanks.

Oh, how I've longed for another kebab thread. My dreams are now answered. It's been too long....
Short answer: If you're used to kebabs in Germany/France, the "kebab" served up in Finland will disappoint. Doesn't stop the locals lapping them up in ignorance though.
Long answer: The same is also true for sausages

Political correctness is the belief that it's possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

It depends a lot from place to place, but i've not had much luck when I lived in Helsinki.
Here in savonlinna, we have Uskudar kebab, which is actually run and owned by fins, and makes a remarkebly good kebab which only uses fresh, non-reheated sliced meat.
Germany, you are more likely to get good shoarma or gyros than kebab though.

ps. the sausages made here, except some by butchers such as chef wotkins, are a crime against humanity.

No (good) gyros here either?

Re: Best kebab in Helsinki
Why would anyone complain about the amount of glue/binders in the Kebab meal

Definition of these words shoarma or gyros?Germany, you are more likely to get good shoarma or gyros than kebab though.

As far as i can see:
Kebab/shoarma is the mince version you see a lot in finland.
Döner kebab/gyros is the version you see a lot in germany, bits of meat.
Both are made by cutting from the big piece on the rotating stick.

To be honest, I'd be happy to try anything that's "real" meat. By that I mean not reconstituted into a foamy meat-like structure. Are there any decent chicken kebabs (or anything similar) that anyone has ever had?kharnynb wrote:As far as i can see:
