Okay, so what happens if all the bills are in the other persons name because they feel that it is their duty to provide? all the bills are set up and they won't dream of letting me pay any of them.

Well I'm hoping that he will actually pop the question soon (he wants kids, I want to be married first) but he is getting to the stage that he wants to move back to Finland sooner rather than later and if a job offer came along he would take it.

That's what concerns me about nothing being in my name - whilst other people would say 'oh lucky you - don't knock it' it's not that I don't pay for anything, I do get things for the house and shopping.

There is also another problem that I got into a bit of bother with money through the current economy issues and getting things in my name could prove to be a bit difficult.

the usually want paper with a signature underneath, a stamp and a signature looks even better. If you can have it with those decorations...

Thats about as official it gets... Finland is funny in that the officials like a paper from an official, a gas bill is not "proof" of anything.
