Hello! I'm Ellen. I'm 24 years old from Cairo, Egypt. I studied languages and translation (English language) and I wish to work and move to live in Finland. Any help or advice will be appreciated

Hi Ellen, there is always possibility, but honestly like the others guys in this forum said, its very small a chance.
The migration law at here very tight and selective. How to move to here , u need Residence Permit (RP) , for detail information :
You can check at http://www.migri.fi (there is in english on right side of web).

Some options for u if u want to move here :
1. marry with native Finn, or migran who has permanent residence and has stable life and job or has own business (he should already live in finland about 5 years to up)..., its mean ur RP based on Family tie

2. U can apply for Residence Permit based on Study. For this , it needs some minimum money in account.
3. U can apply for Assylum RP. For this reason already too much I guess. And it need many years...to get RP if possitive.
4. U can look for a job, so your RP will based on work ..., its very rare or hard to find translator for arabic to english or both.... especially arabic to Finnish., might be some institutions/company need it.
Also like Nokia, they need translator ....,for all language ..., also travel agency (travel guider). Finnish people travel alot also to arab countries. (Tunisia, Morokko, Egypt, Dubai....). So this company need a worker who speak arabic.

5. Also if u have some connection for business people at here, you can also invest money to join business, where she or his company will sponsor u as partner business in company, but i think there is limit amount for this (not sure , how much) ....., the RP , you will get about one year or max 2 years...depend on the business. And u must find the right partner for this. To join as partner business, u dont have to speak finnish. English is enough. And u can use lawyer to take care all the papers with ur business partner. As long as ur business partner has good papers (tax..etc, very clear), my opinion its not so difficult to get RP. When u get RP , then u can study finnish or to find a Finn husband....., then after that u can stay here longer. Its doesnt matter also u find Finn husband or not, if the business going well and pay tax, of course you can extend your RP based on business........, but if the business not going well, then you would not able to extend ur RP.
But doing business in Finland is very hard and very high risk so the possibility to loose money is big also.

It's a rather popular fad these days for 'loser', 'mummy's boys' or 'whatever is their problem is', middle aged Finnish men, who Finnish women won't put up with to run off to Asia and bring back much younger Asian wives, having never lived with them or anything. So people do get into Finland having never lived together. It's not that difficult.

Stay in Egypt. You have no reason to be coming to Finland. Just telling you 'love' the country after a visit, shows you don't live in the real world.

She is the right to choose wherever she want to live, at Egypt or Finland , it is her choice. In this forum, she just asked some informations the possibility to move here. No need to be arrogant.

Regarding about your comment about Asian women. What I can say to u, u r very narrow minded !!.....even now u live in europe, ur mind doesnt show u r smart enough.
I think u should travel in Asia and spend time with them in all class level at there. Dont just stay at low class or poor area, or at slummy area. You must learn culture at there very well. If u said Asian, too many countries in this continents. Also too many reason why one of them marry older on. One reason is she feel secure with older one, she believe this guy wont leave her and find another one.

If u r felt in love with some one, u dont care enough , who are they? where she/he from....etc. But as long as love each others , both of u didnt break the law, both of u know the risk of your big difference age , both of u adult and mature, so why not to marry...., or to live together.

Mostly older men Finn like asian women, because they take care family well and didnt ask much...., they are very family orientied, they put family as number one in their life. (this is a culture). And some countries in Asian, the law and tradition , not allow to live together without marry....or free sex. So thats why they want to get marry quickly when they feel right each others. Because they afraid and respect with law, tradition, and religion.

And sooooooooooooooooooooo many reasons, ....i cant write one by one. My suggestion to u, Just learn very carefully about asian people and culture. So i beleive u will not write arrogant comment about asian women . And u wont make a general opinion abt them.

Background family/class level, education, ....tradition, religion...etc....give effect so much like what the asian women u meet.

Bla. I said nothing against Asian women. I was talking about how it's not always needed to be living together before being granted a permit. I simply used the now popular method some middle aged Finnish men have found to get a wife as an example. Nothing was said against Asia whatsoever. So get off your high horse.

Well.... Finnish men are a special breed unto themselves. Never met any other like them LOL. It's like the women here are taught to be independent and whatnot from a young age, but the boys are just cuddled by mummy and don't seem to ever grow up LOL. Asian women married with finn at here for many reasons,
some of them from poor family, no education, some of them has profesion as prostitute and met the husband in the bars or club. Some of them met from university, organization, business...etc.
some of them from rich family and very educated family , where she has servant more than one, and privat driver, and live in luxury area in their country. Some of them celebrity in asia, singer , actress or model, some of them just ordinary (not rich not poor). I know some of them....

One of my friends is from rich family, and her parents has 4 privat drivers at home, and many servants at home, she even didnt know how to cook, from baby until married finnish man, the servant 24 hours take care of her. And she has also house, family house in the very expensive area. She married with finnish man without job..., and she must work, ride bycicllle in finland, counting every cent for shopping, sometime has to walking to go somewhere to save a few euros, sometime selling berries in kaupatori....., we know her background just so surprised.....so much....., how life so big different for her. But she did because she loves her husband. LOVE DOESNT COUNTING THE MONEY.....
And its her choice, some people will say she is stupid, but for her , she knows what she did....., its about love. For me i respect them, and her choice. She is quite adult to decide her life. People married some one , of course they have A REASON.

Try to see her case, she get better life or !"#¤% life ..???? why she left her nice house, family, servant and driver at her country ? try to open ur mind ....., dont make the same all case.......!!!

I never considered leaving my country as a matter of fact, but as AldenG said, last elections will change lots of stuff here, and I don't want to become a victim of any sort and wanna out of here before any bad thing happen.

Just to clear things up to those who are trying to mock or something. To immigrate doesn't mean I'm ugly or less pretty than someone else. It doesn't mean I'm desperate and trying to find my way out. And to mention something I didn't want to say cause It won't make big difference, my father actually lived in Finland for about 20 years in Nummela (mom and dad were divorced for many years) but he died in 2009, I was still a student and never thought of leaving my country, but now things has changed. I can stay where I am now, but I'm just ambitious, does it sound disturbing?
