Postby GmoDelft » Fri Jul 06, 2012 4:08 pm

Hi,
Today i come to know about my residence permit rejection decision which is mostly common i think , the bank account assumed to be false. I wanted to know from some who had the experience about it and made appeal decision. what time it takes for you? i am really worried as my class will start from september 10.

Please write some suggestion.

Well, what exactly did they find objectionable in the bank account? And how do you intend to prove it really is what you claim it is and what they claim its not, the "extra proof"?

Perhaps they made a simple phone call to the bank.

Since a study showed that many foreign students manipulate bank accounts to get the RP, a much stricter regime in judging your financial status is implemented.
It is not enough anymore to show € 6000,- in the bank for a short period of time. You have to ask them what kind of prove they need.

Appeal will take a long time, but so does a second application.
The first rejection means that the next will go on the pile "difficult cases" and that pile also can take ages.
And yes you have to tell them about the rejection (they will find out anyway). If you don't it is lying on your application which means automatic rejection.

I don't care what anyone else here says about how long it will take. But I will tell you right now, to forget about your class in September. You will NEVER make it with a denial in your history. Which is why you applied when you did, so there would be enough time for you to take your course. Sorry, but that has now passed. So get that out of your mind and reassess your priorities.

So you guys are suggesting to appeal instead of applying second time ? I can prove that my bank account is not false. My father giving me the money. Everything is true .
And wait for my luck to change? It was a continuous Master's program, i did one semester in Norway, second semester in Netherlands and i suppose to do my third and fourth semester in Finland (aalto University). Now all my dream and study comes to halt. Horrible for me.

They need 6000 euro. i showed them 5000 euro in my Dutch bank account in Netherlands ( as i am in netherlands now and i applied from here) and 1000 euro from my bank account in my country,Bangladesh. But they dont trust my bank account in Bangladesh. it was totally surprised. What i can say to them ! just made an huge destroy !

Sounds simple. Transfer the money to Netherlands and appeal.

i also wanted to do so. but the problem is from my country its not easy to take the money abroad using bank. ( u can say so called third world country ) The thing that i do now is, i have got some money around 1500 euro from my friend to my dutch account now. and its about 6200 euro in my Dutch bank account now.

Even i appeal now , i am worried will they still try to dig into my bangladeshi bank account ? source of money ? The source of money in my country bank account was my father's savings. i am trying to contact with the migri , hope to get some reply on monday.

And you are surprised that you don't get the residence permit? Do you think the immigration is stupid? You can have a million in the moon, they want you to be able to support yourself, so you to have the money accessible in Finland, not in Bangladesh, or the moon.

I am not sure the appeal will work. You should have had the money in your bank account from the beginning.

For gods sake.. no wonder it was denied then. You tried to use money that you probably can't even transfer, to show as money that you say you can use? Are you stupid?

No offence but if you knew that it was hard to transfer the money from Bangladesh so you could actually use the money in Finland then you know damn well why your permit could have been rejected? Why didn't you sort all of this stuff out and get all of it in your dutch bank account first? It's an EU bank account there would have been no problems at all! Sounds like you got lazy.

Make sure to get all of the documents in Bagladesh-language officially translated into Finnish. I am sure that no one will do that for you just because you are appealing. You still have to take care of yourself. Though I don't know about your chances of appealing, they could be slim-to-none. If your study was so important you would have taken better care of making sure that there were no loose ends.

Oh well, always info for the next guy.

I am very happy to inform you guys that i got the finnish residence permit card and right now i am in helsinki. I did not appeal. i just applied second time and got the residence permit. i only needed to send some prove that my account is not fake. and i missed only one week of my class !! :D but yes i needed to pay the fee second time also and costs me some extra money too.
