SightSeeing in FINLAND
SightSeeing in FINLAND
Say if i have two days and a decent budget and i want to tour whole of Finland to those places which are worth going and i also want to experience snowfall(thats why i m planning around Dec 1st) what are the suggestion of you all..

Well, daylight is low on dec 1st. so you aren't much able to "see" as much. You can try going to Rovaniemi for snow. In the south its a 50/50 chance. The "touring whole of Finland in 2 days" part is a bit like the tourists renting a car from Melbourne and asking directions to Ayers Rock...

Finland is the fifth largest country in Europe! Two days and wouldn't see much of even Helsinki...there is just lots to do and see there, I've spent over a week do the sights in and around Helsinki
I would agree with Hank, Rovaniemi is your best bet of snow and also go and see Santa!
Turku there is nice castle there (West Finland).
It is a be early in the season for the snow caste in Kemi or an Ice Hotel, I can't remember where it is in Finland. Also too early Ski Jumping
Savonlinna (East Finland) is really nice in the Summer, I don't know about the Winter.
Finland is a large country, if you want to see as much of it as possible. FinnAir could probably help you with organise Flights across and around Finland.

I am a "program services" major and we did week trips for the package tours.... if you want to see "real Finland" I can lodge you for a night at my cottage with an outhouse & listening to the neigbors rooster 30 km from Helsinki just north of Espoo...

to 'see' Finland depends on your tolerance to looking at trees. When you are driving across a flat land tree-lined roads it kind of restricts the viewing of available countryside.
From Helsinki to Tampere, drive 2hrs north = 2hrs of trees
From Helsinki to Jyväskyla, drive 3-4hrs north = 3-4hours of trees
From Helsinki to Oulu, drive 10 hours north = 10 hours of trees
From Helsinki to Rovaniemi, drive 12 hours north = 12 hours of trees.
Of course in the extreme north there are hills so you will be able to see outside of the 'corridor of trees'.
Of course I am exaggerating, but since your time is limited I guess you will be flying from place to place.
You can see most of Helsinki on foot and the no.3 tram. The rest is up to you. And like Hank says, for guaranteed snow, you will need to go north. If you do who knows - you might even catch a glimps of the northern lights.
For 'getting north', there are some cheap airlines but I am not familiar with any of them.
