Hello! So I have looked and looked all over online and I can't find an answer specifically for my situation. My fiancé is from Finland but works in the US... For the past year and a half. I'm a US citizen and next year we will be getting married in Finland. When he called a church in Finland and they said that he needs to get an affidavit of non impediment somewhere in the US and signed by an apostille since he's been in the US. The only thing is that the US doesn't do these forms. I know that I need to go to the US embassy in Helsinki to get one done, but where would he get one done in the US?
Also, how long does it take to get the affidavit from the US embassy? I'm arriving 10 days before we get married. Do they give it to you the same day as your appointment?
Thank you so much!

Y'all need to make anappointment at the US embassy and take an oath for the affidavit. Theres the *exact* procedure and what you need on the embassy pages link.
