Hi guys, nice to know this powerful forum exists
Would really appreciate some past experiences/ knowledge about residence permit.
I've gotten my first work residence permit a year ago as an employed person, and it took me a very very very long wait to get it since it needs to go through TE office. Now it's time for extension, but since I've got a salary raise (working in IT field) and now the salary exceeds 3000e, I'm thinking of applying for a residence permit extension as a Specialist, which seems to be promisingly faster. I do have a bachelor's degree and will get a master's degree soon.
My question is, is it possible to apply for extension as specialist, although my current residence permit is not based on a specialist?
Many thanks for any kind of help =)

Re: Residence permit extension as a Specialist?
It is. It will still take months though if you apply this year since it's the police that processes extensions and they seem backlogged.11sniper wrote:I've gotten my first work residence permit a year ago as an employed person, and it took me a very very very long wait to get it since it needs to go through TE office. Thanks betelgeuse =) I'll submit the extension application next year anyway. let's see how fast/slow the immigration office can be.betelgeuse wrote:It is.
