Yet another healthcare question

Post by bosiwow » Thu Mar 15, 2018 9:57 pm

Hello everybody,

I live currently in Belgium and when I'm not feeling well, I can basically call my doctor and he will look after me.
Is this also possible in Finland? I have read on some posts that you have to wait long if it is not urgent.
But when is something not urgent? you don't go to the doc for fun, do you?

Thanks everybody!!

When something is urgent you go to emergency room from the nearest hospital, they will first determine how urgent it is, by a nurse, and then you wait from zero to Xh depends how busy you they are and how bad you are.

Second option if you just want to see "your doctor" you go to a private and you can see it pretty fast.

The triage is done by a nurse over the phone.
