EU citizen moving to Finland - What is the best way!

First of all thank you.

I already search and read about this on the internet but you guys can help me with your experience.

I am a Portuguese citizen, I have a 6 month work contract (starting in June) and I already rent an apartment. I know that my contact will be renewed so I will stay for at least one year (minimum).

According to www.infopankki.fi

1. As an EU citizen, you do not need a work permit in Finland.

2. Get a tax card and I also can apply for the Personal identity code.

3. Because I will be in Finland for more than three months, I have to apply for a registration of an EU citizen’s right of residence. I can also apply for the Personal identity code in this step, but I think I will do it while dealing with the tax card.

4. Register as a resident at the local register office because I will stay at least for an year.

Are this steps correct or do you guys recommend something different?

Thanks in advance.
