Satellite TV

My wife and I are planning to move to Finland next year but one of her concerns is the availability of TV services. As we will be living out in the country (near Lahti) satellite is probably the only choice. What services are available? Would it still be possible to get Sky TV?

Satellite or VPN. If you live in boonies then you have no problem getting bigass dish to point to Astra. The vpn route will be easier if you have proper internet available. Which you most likely do (5G is just around the corner). Iirc you should keep the Sky subscription alive during the move as they won't offer it abroad.

edit. and living in boonies doesn't mean you don't have internet available. I have something like 100/10 with fiber to the basement. If I moved out of town I could get 100/100 with fiber to home for 10€ more and option to upgrade to 1000/1000. www.saimaankuitu.fi
