I'm damn nervous!

So most of univerties (or at least mine!) are going to release the entrance exam results soon. I know that because I recently sent an email asking for information about admissions, and they said:

You will receive an acceptance letter in the beginning of June. In case you were not admitted, you will get a letter stating that you were not admitted about the same time.

So that's less than two weeks! My exam for IT went well although not the best I did in my life. I wish to move and study there soon.

Are you getting nervous, too?

Nervous is an under statement. I just hope we have good, reasonable teachers to mark our papers and that the Uni. Has enough space to cram us in Since you know you did well, you have nothing to worry about. And for those of us who did pretty bad, lets just say there has been a lot of worrying, praying. At the end of the day, what ever will be, will be.

In case this helps, In 2011 the exams were released on May 30. In 2010 - May 28. So am guessing with in the next few day's we'll hear from them. It would make things easy if you gave them permition to publish ur name on their site instead of waiting for the letter at the post office day in and day out.

They will send the letter by post. They just sent me the e-mail to inform that I got admitted .
Hope the letter come in the next few days. I still haven't received the invitation letter to join the exam from Metropolia yet :-s.

I think they will . In my situation, I didn't get the e-mail from Saimaa UAS (for my 2nd preference). Only the UAS which you get admitted publishes your name on their website (if they post the result on the website), the others don't. So be patient

so far.'' what did they mean by 'so far'? Does it mean the selection process is still going on n that there's still a chance or what? Am confused!

I guess there might still be a chance. For example, a lot of Finnish applicants have to defer their entry due to military service, but then deferrals from the previous year have to confirm their enrolment. So it is takes a while to sort out exactly how many places are available. One of my kids was accepted at HAMK but he will defer his enrolment until after the army. If there are a lot of foreign students, some may finally decide to take a course somewhere else (Finland might not be their first choice) which will free up some more places.

I'm not sure if you are in the waiting list now or not. You should ask Metropolia for that issue. Good luck

Just if someone is confused yet, I asked for the admission info by email. Invitation letter (and appropiate forms, if applicable) will be sent by post - in fact, they sent it yesterday.

You can ask your university wheter you have been admitted or not, and which university. If you have not been admitted, it's not a final result because something could happen (admitted finnish or stranger people could decline the invitation), but don't expect magic because many people are in your same situation.
