As far as I know
The sponsor doesn't have to be one of your relatives you'll just have to explain how do you know that person in the appropriate section
Of the application
About the second question of course the funds from the pension are accepted as any other source my friend had this similar situation and his application was accepted

"You have to have the necessary funds in your bank account. Sponsorship agreements provided by relatives, friends or employers are not acceptable. The funds must be in your own bank account. "

Thank you betelgeuse, yes I have all funds in my own bank account but in the RP application I must show a clarification on the origin of my personal fund and show who gave me this money "sponsor".

Hello guys!

I am applying in Finland's first residence permit application for studies, I have some enquiries as regards funds. Would appreciate any advice.

1) Can the origin of funds be a loan from a family friend of mine?
2) Must the funds is transferred to my own account?
3)Does it need to be moved to a block account?

Please help me if you have similar experiences, and thanks in advance.

Best regards,

> 1) Can the origin of funds be a loan from a family friend of mine?
A loan might be suspicious.

> 2) Must the funds is transferred to my own account?
Yes.

> 3)Does it need to be moved to a block account?
No, but if it's in a blocked account migri might feel more confident granting the RP.
