Rugby - free beginners course

Postby Tony_B » Tue May 08, 2012 9:21 pm

Helsinki Rugby Club is offering a free beginners course in rugby in the last two weeks of May.
Everyone is welcome - old, young, men, women, juniors!
No registration is needed - just show up on the day!

No previous experience, and no special equipment is needed - just your sports outfit, running shoes and the right attitude!
The course will cover the basics of rugby - the basic idea of the game, ball handling, kicking and some basic tackling - but don't worry there won't be any serious contact involved!

The course will be held at Myllypuro Sport park on the following times and dates:

Tuesday, 22.5 . 18.15 - 20.30
Thursday, 24.5 . 18.15 - 20.30
Tuesday, 29.5 . 18.15 - 20.30
Thursday, 31.5 . 18.15 - 20.30

Come along and play and learn RUGBY!

We had a great response last week with almost 30 new potential players trying rugby - most for the first time!
The course continues next Tuesday and Thursday, and if you can't make it then we always welcome new players, so just show up one day! We train in Myllypuro at the same days and times all summer.

Hi Tony,

Will you be holding any courses in August? I am going to be moving from Dublin to the Helsinki area then and I would like to join and get involved in a rugby club.

Thanks!
Mark

Hi Mark,

We will probably hold our next one in October/November, but new players are always welcome, so get in touch when you get here or just come along to training on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Myllypuro.
