Just got home with a pair of nice new Nokian 296.

The guy in Itis had run out of them. Offered me some inferior tyres (one-hundred something) for €100 the pair. Not a good deal.

Went back to Kauppa Veljet and stumped up €115 for a pair of 296s (list price €59 each) plus a halogen headlight with charger (list price €29). I feel I got good, pleasant service and an OK (if not astonishing) deal. In future I'll just keep going back there.

Now I have to find somekind of de-icer.

I'm going to get my tyres on tonight... and maybe bring my bike to work tomorrow!

I might be able to make it out on sunday? I used to be quite bike-fit inb the summer, but I haven't done any exercise in months, so you guys will have to go gentle on me!

Arno, I get the impression from your posts that you live in Itä-Helsinki somewhere? Whereabouts?
