Ha! I just knew it!!! When the Rangers started trying to unload A-Rod I knew that Yankees weren't happy about it. I just knew that they were going to make a play for him. I even told my Dad, who's a lifelong Yankee fan and one of the smartest people I know. He told me I was nuts, but HAH!
I do know what you mean Phil, but one has to remember that lots of teams spend lots of money and show no results. Think FC Cheslea or the Portland Trailblazers. Heck, the Yankees haven't won a series in 3 years now even with what they bought. Steinbrenner wants a winner.
I am tickled pink. I was a Yankee fan when they were the worst, I'm still a fan now. I didn't turn on them when they couldn't win a championship for Donny baseball, I'm certainly not going to now. How nice to know that after 6 years here in Finland I will be returning to the states in time to watch the new-look yankees.
