"Utd fans had a seventies theme at their last away game"

Considering the performance of their team on the field i can understand why they have to rely to themself for the positive entertainment  :ochesey:

Have to agree with you there. Mind you we were in division 2 in the seventies.

Your mate seemed to enjoy it though:
SAF lauds the Red Issue inspired seventies day

From The M.E.N.

Meanwhile Reds fans' colourful Seventies theme day out at Blackburn last week has earned them the praise of Sir Alex.

He said the event - organised by Red Issue fanzine - was the talk of the dressing room.

Reds fans went to Ewood Park dressed in typical 1970s garb, with barred scarves tied on wrists, butcher's coats and flares.

And they sang classic songs of the era throughout the game.

Sir Alex cited that as one reason why the United players owed it to the supporters to finish the season on a high note.

"The players owe our fans, who were fantastic at Blackburn with their Seventies celebration," said Sir Alex.

"It was entertainment of the highest order.
"Every player at this club has mentioned last Saturday - it was brilliant."
Shame Arsenal has to copy us though eh?
