Double Damn.
The bloody Olympics? With domestic leagues and cups, euro cups and internationals thats enough competitions. Part of the reason we bought him is for cover at the beginning of the season until Rio is back.
There should be no place for professional footballers in the Olympics. I thought you were supposed to be an amateur to be in athletics?

That rule about amatuers and the Olympics went out in 1984 prior to
Los Angeles,..The USA used to slip in a few pro-amatures who were doing degree is sports..but then they decided to make in a bit fairer for countries with no sport universities..
The football thing hung on as Amatuer but was watered down for Barcelona in 1992 to be under 21s....now it is max 3 players over 23.
By the next olympics it will just be another form of world cup.
