Absolute bollocks that lad was, despite scoring two against the bindippers once :!:

Every silver lining has a cloud though:

He was a complete waste. And when your boys got in before the boro to sign him SAF, it was like a transfer coup. I bet old Mc Claren was laughing.

Im surprised RM bought woodgate. How many games he played for NU 28 or something, no theres another waste of money. But I suppose if you can get £10+ mill for him I would sell him. He was a nightmare FF player though so Im glad to see the back of him. I wonder how many games he will play for RM

The whole transfer was a joke. A more cynical man would draw attention to the fact that the deal was brokered by SAF's brother Jason and his "Elite" football agents company ;-)

It did produce a classic quote from SAF though:
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said: “I am delighted that Diego has agreed to join us.

“He is an exciting player who has plenty of talent and a bright future ahead of him. I am sure he will come and play well at United.

“We've watched him three times and think he has good potential, two good feet, he's quick and a good header of the ball. At 22 he represents a good future.”
3 times?
3 times?
