They are free and you dont have to be a member of a cyclng club
I'm thinking about going along to the Helsinki one. Is it worth making the effort to meet up with them? Is it social or just a bunch of people cycling in silence?

I have been to some departing from Bemböle. There are different groups going at different average speeds. I do see some people chatting. I think, as it's normal with Finns, they are not that talkative and it takes a bit to get into their "space". But I think you should try when the weather gets better and they clean the roads and paths.
