Nobody loves snooker in Tampere

Post by tampereblue » Wed Jun 29, 2005 12:22 pm

I've been trying desperately to find people to play regular snooker/pool with in Tampere. Anyone up for it. I'm a friendly kind of guy, just missing my mates in UK who I used to go for a few 'frames' with!

snooker Tampere

Hi

Well, I USED to be a fairly decent player, breaks around 30-45 or so but that was when I was playing regularly. Now, I wouldn't like to say but I can still play a little and pot a few I should think.

IIRC Chaplins in Helsinki has some weird tables that must be snooker, and theres people playing so that'd be the place in Helsinki.

"Regular" pool as we all know it is played in about any pub, I can summon my nephew to beat you in 9- ball. (He usually beats me in a few seconds when he gets to it)
Cheers, Hank W.

If you're in Tampere, I assume you've been to Galaxy or whatever its called.
- Never do look up to see the sign when walk in the door

There's snooker there, though I'm one of the Finns happy to stick with the
"regular" stuff  .

Yeah, galaxie centre is near the station, though it has always looked a bit dodgy from the outside. I guess a pool hall wouldn't be a pool hall without looking a bit odd!

I'll have to get myself down there and have a look - snooker or pool, I'd love to play more of both.

I have the same problem - I am a very good Pool player (don't play snooker at all, sorry!). If you are interested (and this applies to any other Tampere pool players) i usually play in "Pool Garden" - It is located in Sammonkatu, near the Teboil gas station, over the "Stag's head" pub.

Contact me over at jaco2k@myrealbox(NOSPAM).com - remove the (NOSPAM) part for the real email.

I might be organizing a Pool night next week with some buddies from work.

BTW, "charliebass" - Are you a bass player? I am... ;)
