Hello,
I will travel with my car back to Greece and I will need new tyres.
Is it cheaper to buy them in Tallinn? Or if you now anywhere that I can buy affordable tyres in Turku or Helsinki?

Continental, Bridgestone, Michelin, Nokian,... (in no particular order) any quality brand will do, i.e. be at least good enough. That being said, I hope you're not planning to drive your car - through the Baltic states or Sweden and central Europe - out of Finland on summer tires any time soon.

Last year we bought a set online from Italy. Big mistake. Won't do it again.

it depends on what weather you encounter on the way. In Germany winter tires are not mandatory but if you have an accident in "winter conditions" with summer tires on the car then there is a fine and insurance would not be valid. In other countries it varies (eg Austria is mandatory until 15th Apr)I am planning to travel to Greece end of March. I hope I wont have problem with the summer tyres.
I bought my car in Germany and it came with winter friction tires (the type without studs). they are great since you can put them on october - December without the noise of studded tires and I put them on again in april not worrying about suddenly frosty mornings in May that would cause trouble with summer tires. i still have studded tires for the height of winter though (and so change tires 4x per year). But I think except for taxi drivers almost nobody has 3x sets of tires in Finland.

Also note that in most of the countries except Nordics and Estonia using studs tired is not allowed. Only friction tires are ok.
