And the good part about not so high demand is that you can get them quite cheap (alreayd saw them for 99 c/kg).
Ooo, gotta check out Lidl! It's a shame that the only one near
me is a pain in the a*se to get to.

Available frozen from Vii Voan.

BTW I just bought lychees (荔枝) from Citymarket in Sello. EUR 2.95/kg.
But you can guess how marginal the market for Finns actually is when
I had to explain to some yesterday what they were and how to eat
them and what part to eat.

I quite like lychees in a fruit salad, but the edible part (once you get rid of the shell and the seeds) is perhaps only 1/3 of the weight, so it works out pretty pricey.

Last weekend I made a fruit salad for friends, pineapple, apple, orange, banana were all about the standard price.

Sharon fruit (persimmon) were a bit small, can't remember the € price, but they seemed pretty reasonable at the time. Though a couple of months ago a K-kauppa near my workplace were doing really nice, large and at a very low price.

The coconut was pretty good value, it was less than €2 with plenty of milk...

South African grapes were overpriced, about €3.50 for a medium sized bunch, but the passion fruit (pretty small) were nearly €1 a piece, and the pomegranate was also about €1.50 just for a bit of colour.

1/3 of a litre of Tropicana breakfast mandarin and coconut cream sweetened with demarera sugar to pour on top.

Lovely.

each one of them cost around 10 euros per kilo.
Pitaya/Dragon fruit was slightly cheaper than Rambutan and passion fruit.

You go to luxus-luxus market in a luxus-luxus location and buy luxus-luxus fruit you pay luxus-luxus money...

I mean I pay 2,80 for a beer in a dive in Kallio, and 4,80 for a pint in the core, so  my wallet too...
Cheers, Hank W.
