Finnish driving license ajokortti

Post by mephis1987 » Tue May 22, 2007 7:15 pm

Terve kaikkia

I have questions for those who have a driving license or know sth about it because I m thinking of owning one

Q1. Is Finnish driving license ajokortti valid in other EU countries? can i use it in, for instance, German?
2. How much does it cost approximately to learn driving? and how much for the test?
3. Does the ajokoulu have discount for student?
4. I have been told that the basic license only allows you to drive normal car, you need to learn more for driving truck, taxi ...
5. (off topic)And about the motorbike which is under 50cc, do I need a license also ?

Thanks

Yes

Depends. It starts with around 1500 Euros if you are a beginner.
I prefer not doing it, if I can't be passionate about it.

See the related pages on the websites of Vehicle Administration (AKE) and the Finnish police, as well as the corresponding European Commission website (especially the Categories section.)

if possible get it from another country where it is cheaper. then you can replace it with the finnish driver's license for a small fee.
