Guess not.

As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.

You all can argue/fight here, it's not gonna make any difference. It's all about power and influence, you accept it or not, a lot of your laws are controlled from outside using different tools.
It's barbaric or not, no major country will dare to ban religious circumcision in near future. America has very high rate of circumcisions, not because of "business reasons" but power reasons.

only when it follows a word beginiing with A and ending in NAL.

As I was saying,
If I remember correctly the main benefit of being circumcised is that it reduced the chances of contracting HIV during unprotected ar$e sex.

The American Medical Association states that circumcision, properly performed, protects against the development of phimosis.
Um, yeah... How about checking what they actually recommend:

The American Academy of Pediatrics, from their 1999 policy statement, reaffirmed in 2005 (http://aappolicy.aappublications.org/cg ... ;103/3/686):
Existing scientific evidence demonstrates potential medical benefits of newborn male circumcision; however, these data are not sufficient to recommend routine neonatal circumcision.
This is a really good and thorough report, I really recommend reading it. Anyway, as you mentioned penile cancer, they state:
Cancer of the penis is a rare disease; the annual age-adjusted incidence of penile cancer is 0.9 to 1.0 per 100 000 males in the United States.91 In countries where the overwhelming majority of men are uncircumcised, the rate of penile cancer varies from 0.82 per 100 000 in Denmark92 to 2.9 to 6.8 per 100 000 in Brazil93 and 2.0 to 10.5 per 100 000 in India.
Although the risk of developing penile cancer in an uncircumcised man compared with a circumcised man is increased more than threefold, it is difficult to estimate accurately the magnitude of this risk based on existing studies. Nevertheless, in a developed country such as the United States, penile cancer is a rare disease and the risk of penile cancer developing in an uncircumcised man, although increased compared with a circumcised man, is low.
The American Medical Association, in it's 1999 Interrim meeting, supports the AAP 1999 policy (http://www.ama-assn.org/resources/doc/csaph/csai-99.pdf):
A majority of boys born in the United States continue to receive nonritual
circumcisions. Circumcision decreases the incidence of urinary tract infections in the first year of
life, and also protects against the development of penile cancer later in life. However, the low
incidence of these conditions minimizes the potential medical benefits compared to risks of
circumcision.
Although potential medical benefits are associated with newborn male
circumcision, these data are not sufficient to recommend routine performance of this procedure
on medical grounds. However, in the United States, parental decision-making appears to be
based on social and cultural rather than medical concerns.
The AMA supports the general principles of the 1999 Circumcision Policy Statement of
the American Academy of Pediatrics, which reads as follows: Existing scientific evidence
demonstrates potential medical benefits of newborn male circumcision; however, these
data are not sufficient to recommend routine neonatal circumcision.
The AMA hasn't apparently come out with any new recommendation after that, although it is over 10 years old. When they noted that "A majority of boys born in the United States continue to receive nonritual circumcisions" it really isn't true anymore. Although rates highly varies in different parts of the US, the circumcision rate is declining fast. Seems to currently be under half of the boys, and for instance this article says one third (but it was "according to one federal researcher", so I wouldn't take the numer as gospel until I see actual numbers): http://www.npr.org/templates/story/stor ... =129362160

So, how about finding one medical associaton that actually supports routine neonatal circumcision?

Any places to contact or call in Oulu?

Well I think you are in the wrong place for this.

If you are a Lesbian, homosexual, drunkard, drug using parasite, immoral no standards, this is where you will get support. Anything to do with religion or anything else decent you will just get all the usual gibbering socially challenged "people" on your case.

Hopefully you will find somewhere that can advise you.

Do you mean the forum or Finland in general? :)

The main reason for introducing non-religious circumcision in English-speaking countries was to prevent masturbation, so I can see the point about decency. I don't think it's worked very well, however. (The other cure for masturbation was Kellogg's corn flakes. Those are legally available in Finland, btw, in case someone is looking for alternatives for circumcision.)

I think it's rather decent to oppose the bodily mutilation of a helpless infant, like many of the people here seem to be doing.
