Note submission wrestling, BJJ and MMA (Vapaaottelu) are under different headings. As everywhere else...a MMA club will probably do seperate BJJ and SW classes. So worth checking them all.

I've rolled with the Alliance guys and they're pretty cool and a good level.

Yeah, usually it's separated, or sometimes a club will do grappling one day and stand-up next day etc.
But I didn't take my gear for stand-up and don't have much time so I'll prolly focus on ground control.

Dunno if you've trained anything here or not (obviously) but Finland loves it's beginner's courses. So there's usually some gear in the gym you can borrow...If you want to wear the gyms smelly, snot and blood stained shin guards that is.

You're usually expected to get your own gum shield and box though
