I have seen some small snakes (30cm ish) dead on the road this summer, but certainly not python size.

I would assume finns behave better than the two people mentioned in this story

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-mid-wales-19129715

The 20-year-old holidaymaker was bitten on the hand when he picked the snake up in sand dunes on Saturday.

Moral of this story: if you see a snake, do not pick it up !!

Do you mean you want a python as a pet?

The snakes are lame here. Ok, I am an Aussie, so I can say that LOL.

I've seen several times the small black ones. They are poisonous and dangerous for the elderly, ill and small children.

The medcine for being bitten by the snake is the same for wasp bites I believe. You can buy it without prescription from the apteekki.

There's also a 'grey' coloured snake I think. I've never seen it.

I was at my child's grandparents' mökki once and there was one just going through their yard on some journey. My child and his Mummi were carrying on and running away. I was laughing my arse off and said quickly get the camera, I want to take a picture LOL. Whilst going near it. Bla. It was so small. It was only using the yard a path to it's destination. Nothing to be afraid of.

Theres "python" in the toilet usually

As pets? Yes, some people got them.

As for live snakes, theres the adder, black or grey with a zigzag, thats poisonous and can be dangerous to little kids and dogs.

Then theres the grass-snake, with yellow 'gills', thats rarer but can nab you, its not poisonous. And then there is the slowworm, which is a legless lizard actually, I've seen one once as a kid... in Aland they got one non-poisonous snake as well... smooth snake all these snakes and the lizard are protected species.

Try the Tropicario on Sturenkatu:

Näyttelyeläinten joukossa on todellisia käärme- ja liskoharvinaisuuksia kuten mustapääpyton, Papuan- ja Timorinpyton, Argentiinan boa, skorpionilisko sekä krokotiilivaraani.

I still beat you LOL. The Fierce Snake of Australia is voted as the deadliest snake in the world.

Sri Lankan and other countries with dangerous snakes are deemed more deadly because they come into contact with humans a lot more, but in fact the Fierce snake has the deadliest poison of all snakes. It is a reclusive and shy snake which was only discovered in 1975. It's range is only a small portion of the desert in Australia, in the middle of the country. Very few people ever see them and I don't believe anyone has died from it, because probably no one has been bitten, because it's so rare.

I know about Sri Lanka snakes. My child is fascinated by them :) Interesting to learn about cobras and whatnot LOL.

Hi.
My girlfriend says that I have one between my legs. If it is true, I'd be scared to death.
