Finnish guy firlting

Post by milkcoffee » Mon Sep 12, 2016 1:49 pm

I heard that Finnish guy is super shy and very reserved, so they usually don't ask on date to girls.

Yesterday, I was in the park and walking with my bicycle, then suddenly Finnish guy came to me and said 'hi' and he told me that he want to say hi because I'm super cute.

I was little bit surprising because he was directly speak to me. We had little chat and he ask my phone number and suggest to meetup for coffee.

Also, another guy came to me and gave me a paper and ask me to draw a line to dot A.B.C and when I did it. He told me that open the paper, when I open it, there was a heart picture draw on it! He also ask me to drink coffee.

I came here a month ago and it happened twice times. Little bit confused.

Is it common in Finland to ask phone number to hook someone up on the street?

I thought that they are super shy. Do you have same experiences like me?

Are you a younger person than 30 years old? The super shy seems to apply to 36 years plus in my personal experience. Younger folks are much more open and just stop to talk to you.

Just my two cents.

The next time you go out, remember to put your cloth on. Things get normal then.

I'm younger than 30.

What you mean put your clothes on? I was wearing jean and T-shirt.

They are not shy when they are drunk.

Or he could be some kind of scammer or worse who thought you looked vulnerable and potentially responsive/exploitable.

One way or another, what you describe is not ordinary behavior in Finland. The second one in particular sounds suspiciously practiced. The first one might just be random friskiness, possibly encouraged by alcohol. But it's getting to be the wrong season for spontaneity already.
As he persisted, I was obliged to tootle him gently at first and then, seeing no improvement, to trumpet him vigorously with my horn.

maybe they thought you are cuter than local choices
or that you might be looking for local love to stay here
or that you might be easy to lure into bed for process of copulation.
or they are victims of local ladies
or they have a bucket list and want to taste some foreign meat.
or they had a bet with someone
or that you might be willing to donate a kidney
or that your presence might brighten their cellar for a couple of years
or.... <insert any possible scenario>

Are you sure they were Finnish?

Finnish people who have travelled and lived outside of Finland are usually friendlier than non-travelling Fins.

I think younger Finnish people are quite different to older. They are more open and friendly.

Think of it as a positive.

The second act in particular not normal in any country let alone Finland. Asking a stranger going on a bike to stop and play these games :)

Most probably drunk. If not then looking for a victim for any of the reasons mentioned in other posts

If theyactually were Finns, you must be stunning.

I second Pursuvient. You must be Giselle, Gigi, Cara and whatever you're having yourself all rolled into one, and with beer-flavoured nipples. You must be, like, the most stunning woman ever to have docked on the shores of this glorious land.

Because what you have described as having happened to you, twice in one day, randomly, just does not happen here beyond the wall.

If they were not drunk at that time, those weren't Finns.

I would consider this straight forward move of asking/giving number brave and not weird in any way.

Shouldn't be that more normal then swiping right on tinder and sending a message?!?

This thing with a paper is bit funny :)

No offence, are you an Asian girl (Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai or Vietnamese etc)?
If yes, then it is not very unusual for a Finnish guy to go and talk to Asian girls.
