Hi,
I am in the process of attempting to register a vehicle with a 2-stroke engine in Finland. The vehicle was manufactured around 2010 in EU and has an 'EC Certificate of Conformity'. However, it has never been registered in any EU state.
I have been informed that this may be difficult to register in Finland due to a 2-stroke engine ban but I cannot find any information to support this? Similar brand new vehicles of this type (with 2-stroke engines) are still selling in Holland - don't all EU countries have to follow the same trade related regulations what with the single-market and all that?
2-Stroke Engine Ban?
Re: 2-Stroke Engine Ban?
and the STINK!
Re: 2-Stroke Engine Ban?
Good points well made!
I actually meant 2 stroke engines over 50cc as anything under is exempt. Therefore, the Mopo car drivers are fine!

Afaik there is no ban, but they have to meet the emission criteria...BigStack wrote:Hi,

I think it greatly depends on the machine, I mean they sell here still 2 stroke light motorbikes (like aprillia rs 125), most light motor sledges are 2 stroke.BigStack wrote:Good points well made!

Re: 2-Stroke Engine Ban?
That was probably a 2T engine with software that made you believe it was a 4T then.Pursuivant wrote:I thought the last trabis had a vw engine?
