My friend went for identification on the 11th of September 2017 and got positive decision 6th of February 2018 . Best of luck to those waiting for decision on their application.
Where to buy? Where can I find? How do I? Getting started.
I got my citizenship a few weeks ago and no, MIRGRI doesn´t provide any official document. You get just the decision (in Finnish or Swedish) online and they inform the Population Register Centre about your new citizenship. I actually now logged in to check and yep, there is my original citizenship and Finnish one together. So my suggestion would be to visit your local Maistraatti and get your statement in English with a stamp on it.ssg007 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2018 11:45 amHi,
For those who received your Finnish Citizenship recently, I have a question:
I wonder if there is a thing called "Citizenship Certificate" exist in Finland. When MIGRI approves and grants someone the Finnish Citizenship, do they send you an official decision with their stamp on it (possibly a paper version)? OR is it just the decision that you read (can be printed) on enterfinland website?
My home country is asking for a Citizenship Certificate from Finland and I wonder which one should I supply? In case if it is the electronic decision that can be read on enterfinland, then it does not have any stamps or any other means of official confirmations. Can I still use this as an official document?
