Having a car in Finland for 3 months

Post by mike_ttt » Mon Jun 26, 2017 5:24 pm

Hi all,

It is clear that having a car in Finland would cost you tons of money (car tax, insurance). I only need a car for three months for my summer work here, do I have other options to have a car without paying these expenses?

I'm a student so the budget is quite limited.

Thank you!

You'll pay for them, either directly or via rent or leasing deal. Check eg. caara.fi's caarago leasing. It seems to be cheapest (as they rent out trade-in cars).

Tax and insurance don't cost you tons of money. You will be charged only for the time you own the car. So a combination of the cheapest insurance option ( POP vakuutus) and road tax would cost you 100-200 euros for three months.
