Re: Who get Finnish citizenship easier?
The only way to get citizenship easier is to be born in one of the Finnish Oversees Territories, aka FOT (Fuengirola and Las Palmas). As a Brazilian you don't qualify,sorrycosmotron2003 wrote:I'm Brazilian. What the criteria for get a citizenship?? Can I?

Joking aside: Nordic citizens gets Finnish citizenship easier. I can't see any mention about needing language skills, although Swedish would be easymode for Swedes and Norwegians, Danes and Icelanders wouldn't have too much problem with Swedish language. I think.Y77 wrote:The only way to get citizenship easier is to be born in one of the Finnish Oversees Territories, aka FOT (Fuengirola and Las Palmas). Re: Who get Finnish citizenship easier?
You would need to live here for a few years and speak finnish
Re: Who get Finnish citizenship easier?
Yep. Can confirm. Nordic citizens only need to live in Finland for two years. No language skills needed. However, the only condition is that you have to have be a Nordic citizen by birth.Upphew wrote:Joking aside: Nordic citizens gets Finnish citizenship easier. Every case is unique. You can't measure the result of your application based on arbitrary anecdotes online.

In Finland it does not apply if you get citizenship through naturalization. Is it same in other Nordic countries too, that you must be a Nordic citizen by birth?Beep_Boop wrote:Yep. Can confirm. Nordic citizens only need to live in Finland for two years.

It's a garbled mess.sky2 wrote:Is it same in other Nordic countries too, that you must be a Nordic citizen by birth?
Sweden doesn't care. Denmark requires Nordic citizenship by birth but only if you're older than 23. Norway doesn't care, but has language requirements. Iceland requires Nordic citizenship by birth.
