Apologies if this subject has been raised before and already answered.
However,
Does anybody know how the Finnish pensions schemes work in relation to non-Finns who have worked here, and then leave - for good, never to return?
Are we able to roll-over our Finnish pension contributions to our pension schemes in our home country?
Or do we have to wait until we retire and then claim our Finnish pensions from whichever country we are living in?
I have two Finnish pension accounts (Eläöeturvakeskus and elo), and they were completely baffled by me asking them these questions, and were not able to answer me - even though I got a Finnish person to ask for me (I actually found them to be very unprofessional).
So any advice anybody has in relation to this would be gratefully received.
Thank you,
Richard
