Possibility of citizenship rejection based on 2-3 months leave from finland

Post by Ari_hr » Mon Apr 30, 2018 2:07 pm

Hi,

My wife has stayed twice outside Finland for around three months in the past five years. Now she is again going to be outside Finland for three months. All these three instances are due to medical leave. She had some medical problems and due to slow Finnish treatments, she had to do it in her own country. She is also planning to apply for Finnish citizenshp in June

She is also planning to apply for citizenship in June. I saw the following points on migri

The following periods of absence from Finland will not interrupt your continuous period of residence, and their time will be calculated as continuous residence time:
  • absences of a maximum of one month
a maximum of six periods of absence that last 1–2 months each
a maximum of two periods of absence that last 2–6 months each
My question is whether someone has experience of getting citizenshp despite staying outside Finland three or more times for more than two months

P.S: Myself and my kids have already received Finnish citizenshp
