Retiring Baby Boomers

I've been reading about the baby boomers retiring in Finland who can't find anyone to take over their businesses. Where are they all and how can I contact them? I would love to take over one of their businesses. Is there some kind of register somewhere that lets people know which businesses are looking for new owners? Any information at all?

"Take over their business", meaning "buy their business", usually for an obscene amount of money.

can you please provide where you were reading about these baby boomers? Are you sure it is Finland?

The problem is with the taxes... so to have a happy death you kill the company " butcher it flesh" or "sell it good" to someone to whom you are not in "inheritance" with...

And definitely the "offspring" as in the inheritors of the busines want their share, so selling just before you need a pecuniary reward

raamv, www.yle.fi, and yes, it is Finland.

mrjimsfc, I'm quite prepared to "pay for the business". I just need to find out where and what it is.

So, I'll repeat one of my original questions. Is there some kind of register somewhere that lets people know which businesses are looking for new owners?

If you don't know, that's fine. You don't know. If you are aware of any such place where I can get information about businesses for sale, I would appreciate a link. English or Finnish will be fine.

Well, that´s the only one I found, too. Then of course there are ads in newspapers under Yrityksiä myytävänä.
