I WANNA PICK UP STRAWBERRIES(OR OTHER FRUITS)IN FINLAND...

this summer i would like 2 be in finland, i ve read for picking up strawberries u dont need 2 speak the language(im english/italian mother tongue), european citizen.

i ve been visiting many websites but many of them are in finnish, so im asking u, ppl, if u can send me email addresses of farms in the following areas: HELSINKI, ESPOO, VANTAA and other not too far the capital, can u help me plz?

im up to work frm june to september. i m waiting for your replies

All the strawberry picking is a LONG way from any form of civilization! They don't want you to be able to escape.

Not true of course but it often FEELS that way.

The biggest berry farms are in central Finland, not in the capital area. I think the biggest farmer in Espoo is Yrjö Rossi. He owns two big areas. Just yesterday he was on TV in a program that told about students summer jobs. Right now he has students planting new strawberry plants.

So we not only have to find that rare strawberry field in the Helsinki area, but to accommodate you, it has to have an English website.

Hei, I would like to get summer job in Finland (end of june - july) and I also thought about picking up strawberries. It would also be good to have a job in capital area, because then it's easier for me to meet a family for which I will be (probably) an aupair from August. And also timing of this job is suitable...
I've written to this farmer Rossi from Espoo, but I don't have any answer yet (mail sent over week ago) Maybe I'm late... :/

So my question is: does anyone know something more about it? Maybe someone worked there before? or is gonna work?
Please help?

Its mansikanpoimija in finnish and as told you dont find any in near of Helsinki. here is full list

I'm an italian student and i'd like to work in finland in july too... i've written some mails but i haven't received any mail back.. maybe we're late to work as strawberry picker... if anyone has more info about this kind of job or anything else also in the capital please tell me! i really want to go to finland this july!!! So, now I know that there are no free places in 'Rossi Tarhat...' in Espoo any more, one woman helped me and called to Yrjö Rossi, and he said that they have received a lot of aplications this year... :/
