I'm looking for a finnish company that does domain name registration and website hosting...obviously the cheaper the better.

It all depends on what you are looking for. A .com will only cost you $7/yr, and you can get hosting from a reputable company for cheap. A .fi is substantially more expensive, I think it's 45€/2 years. But you can still host it from a non Finnish company, as I host a few .fi's on my web servers for a lot cheaper than it would cost here in Finland.

There's only one company as far as I know that legally does the domain registration here, and it needs to be registered to a business www.ficora.fi . Its all in English as well, and quite easy to do. But I recommend you getting your hosting set up first, as they require the name servers before they release your domain to you. If you don't comply within 30days, you lose the domain and the money and must begin again.

Oh, and the law was changed maybe 3 years ago to allow Finnish residents to have .fi domains, so it's not just businesses. I've had mine for a few years now, through oxter.
