Well sometimes it isn't quite so clear who's begging and who's choosing.
You either want those projects finished on time or you don't.
Staffpoint has a rather ambivalent reputation as an employer. But I do know some people who have (eventually) got permanent work through them. As long as no promises are made up front and everyone knows where they stand and what they are being paid for, then it's OK.
But systematically using a temp agency to hire new employees is a bit of a cop out, IMO.

Would be a nice job (minding other peoples' problems more than my own) if they only could move Helsinki a bit closer to this side of the river...

Hm, does anybody know what is the salary for such a job...with En&Fr in particular.
Re: Computer support - English & German, Dutch, or French
Why don't you contact them and ask?Mihaela wrote:Hm, does anybody know what is the salary for such a job...with En&Fr in particular.

Because I am in Bulgaria ;0) And just wanted to compare the salary with mine
And I guess that this is confidential and even if I ask, none would tell me until I have passed interviews and get the offer of the job. At least this is the way they proceed here
I thought somebody may know somebody who works in the sector and has a slight image of the salary.

Well many jobs that I have applied for, or interviewed for I asked the salary. The company/interviewer usually gave a range of course depending on your skills and experience etc. Anyway, then you try and aim for the higher end or even higher than that But it never hurts to contact them for more information and ask.
Re: Computer support - English & German, Dutch, or French
Culture shock Here THEY ask you how much do you want. If you say lower than what they offer, they take you (of course if you have the qualifications needed). If you say higher - they find someone who wants lower even he does not have all the needed qualifications and you do.jas_rho wrote:Well many jobs that I have applied for, or interviewed for I asked the salary.
Anyway, thanks. I will keep that company in mind when we decide to move to Fi.
Re: Computer support - English & German, Dutch, or French
Well they'll ask you here too how much do you want. I'm just saying that in my opinion, its not taboo to ask what the salary is.
Oh, and working for a temp agency like this, your salary is usually lower than if you were working directly for the company. Since the agency has to take their cut too.
